There was never a better lead for vocals than Steve Perry. His voice is flawless

I grew up in the era of this group. It makes me happy to see people of your generation reaching back and embracing the music, which frankly, we just took for granted as the music of our times. We, my generation, look back now and realize how privileged we were to have grown up in the era of really great rock and roll.

They started in 1973 and were good but when Steve Perry joined in 1977, BOOM! They needed Steve to get heard even farther than they had before. I was born 1982 and grew up hearing Steve Perry since I was a baby. My parents love music and my dad was in a band. I followed Steve's solo career as well. He's still going.

The great Steve Perry, one of rock’s best-ever singers. And no, you won’t be disappointed with his live vocal performances. 🎤💯

Bisscute the reason many of us recommend music from the 60's, 70's and 80's is because all of the great music was made before you were born. Journey is just another example. At their peak Journey filled arenas and stadiums world wide. Even with today's tricks there isn't a male singer that can touch Steve Perry. His nickname was "The Voice". This song doesn't really show how fantastic his voice is.

Journey has a PHENOMENAL catalogue of music, some of just some of the best songs ever made imho.
