The TRUTH about SHARKS
Показать описание
Sharks are not the killers we grew up fearing. These animals are represented through the media and Hollywood as vicious killers of the deep, but this is simply not true. Their attack numbers are unbelievably low (64 globally per year), and the number of fatal attacks is even lower (5 globally per year). Ants, Cows, Horses, Jellyfish, Lightening Strikes, Snails, Flys, and (obviously) Humans are all ridiculously more dangerous than sharks. Yet we still have immense fear for these beautiful animals. Put simply sharks have a PR problem.
The issue is, that we have no respect for these animals, and as a result we have reduced shark populations to critical numbers. Without sharks, the entire ecosystem will collapse. They are essential to ocean diversity and populations, and in turn are essential to life above the surface due to the Earths reliance on a healthy ocean.
It's time for change, time to show these animals some respect, and hopefully aid the return of shark numbers in our oceans.
