I love the way Basil's demeanour instantly changes when he discovers that it really is Mrs. Johnson.

The sad thing is Basil was correct in thinking Johnson had a girl in there with him against the rules, and never got a chance to prove it!

I saw a film called the 'Love Ban' from 1973. Nicky Henson who played Mr Johnson in Fawlty Towers was one of the main stars. John Cleese also had a small part in the film.

The woman still needs to pay though and that's the thing at the end of the day.
It doesn't matter who would of came out-Basil was still right about someone being in the room without paying, it would of been worse if no one had of came out of the room when he asked Johnson about it.
