What about a setup where the industrial crafter is supposed to craft multiple different things?

This failed signal is broken imho. It fails if it is max, it fails if it is not enough in the source. And no way to distinguish two. You solve this by leaving a small amount in the crafter, as I understand, so it is able to move something successfully to enable first conveyor.
