If he believes in unicorns and magical flying man, he should be happy where he is now. At least the children would be safe.

I'm a very simple man, often drifting into stupidity, I confess. Perhaps someone of greater learning than I can explain how it can be that a sick, 95 year old man, who held the title of 'Christ's Vicar on Earth', who has presumably now gone to his eternal rest in Paradise - can be described as 'sad'?

I lost my respect for him as pope, when i found out how much he helped cover up the churchs child sex abuse, and how he just moved priest around like they would stop that behavior when they were relocated.
He knew and covered it up and never once apologized.
So yes he passed away, and now he will finally be judged for his choices in life and answer to his God.

Qur'an 21:35
*Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned.*

This is such a profound verse in Qur'an. No person that does evil should ever think they will escape God's judgment. Nor would anyone who does good should think they will not be rewarded either in this world or hereafter.

Is this the guy that stepped down in disgrace because he chose to move (1000s) of paedophile vicars rather than boot them from the church?

If it is him, I hope he Peter judges him harshly on behalf of the 10s of thousands of victims they abused.

Who are we to judge him or any consecrated persons, instead of criticising them, why not pray for them for strength to overcome the enormous challenges they, like us face.Bearing in mind God is judge of us all.May He rest in the peace.
