Emiliano Zapata: A Revolutionary General

My family is originally from Morelos. My grandpa was part of this revolution fighting along with Zapata and many others. My grandma and his family suffered very much because the government was searching for my grandfather and since they couldn't find him they took ( my uncle his son) as prisoner for two years. The family says the government tortured him everyday for two years trying to get him to speak out on where grandpa was hiding. The stories are gut wrenching yet very proud to be a descendent of a small part of the story. My grandpa will always be my #1hero.

Zapastias might have support Chavez for a short while as to my knowledge he wasn’t very happy about Capitalism, but I wouldn’t compare the two. Chavez came into power throw parliamentary politics whilst Zapata came into power through revolution.
