Why you should NOT get a 2025 Ford Maverick?

Hello all! I wanted to share my reasoning for not ordering a 2025 Ford Maverick! I feel like some people are on the fence on if they should go with a 2024 or order a 2025! After watching this video you'll know exactly WHY I'm going to stick with my 2024! I think either option is a great choice, just not for me!

Biggest thing I'm wanting to wait for on the 2025 is the AWD Hybrid with the 4K towing package

The big change is with the hybrids. You can now get the hybrid with AWD and 4k tow package. I have a 22 xlt hybrid and have a 25 xlt hybrid on order! I will be trading in my 22.

I heard on other YT videos, the lesser HP on the 2025 was because of emission requirements.

I've ordered a 2025 that is in production this week. Based on my research, the drop in HP is because Ford is adding a gasoline particulate filter (GPF), similar to DPF's that have been on diesel vehicles for years. Also, initially the GPF's will only be added to vehicles delivered in states that follow the stricter California emissions rules (basically west coast and north east states). So my 2025 Maverick being delivered to S.C. will have 250 HP. And I agree with you on climate control, I prefer knobs and buttons over touch screen!

I read on motortrend that the power figures are lowered to 238hp for California emission laws its the same engine with the same tune.

As some interested in the hybrid, the change in hvac controls alone has me sticking to a 23 or 24 model year.

I think safety features are super cool, there was an accident near my home where someone had a seizure and their car plowed into a concrete pillar. He is no longer with us. just something to consider also they can be turned off individually but to each their own

I had a 2021 Subaru Outback with most of the controls routed through the big screen and now have a 2021 Honda Passport with push button controls for most things like HVAC, etc. you don't know what you're missing until it's gone when it comes to push button controls versus controls routed through a screen.

One thing I hate is that I have to put it into Eco mode EVERY time I get in....Why cant zi just leave it there all the time?

Equipped wise the 25 is better however the front end of the 24 is better.

Putting all of the climate controls into the touch screen was such a dumb move. Honda did the same thing with the Civic Type R at first and changed it to physical knobs later in its life because people conplained so much. Big step back from Ford. Won't be surprised if people retrofit the older dash in their 2025s to get the knobs back.

I finally found the 2024 Maverick Tremor in Black that I've been looking for!! Was determined NOT to get the 2025 because the have made the Tremor a line above the Lariat...so you get most of the Lariat options that I didn't want..like the added "safety" features!!! Plus the new Tremors start at a ridiculous price above what the Lariat is!

My friend the 2025 Maverick hybrid now comes with four-wheel drive and can now tow up to 4, 000 lbs, so that's the ultimate Maverick to get.
Plus the much bigger entertainment screen.

Idk man… I’ve done my research and I can currently purchase 4 or 5 2025 ford mavericks from my dealerships and they’re 6k less then the 2024. Same trim and all. So I’m not to sure what prices you’re looking at but I just visited two separate dealers this weekend and the prices are legit.

They will never fix that glitch, they been doing that mess since the ford flex . Touch sensitive AC controls was the wrong move.

My 2025 hybrid XLT is in production right now. I ordered on 8/1 because I wanted the Eruption Green color and my current lease is almost up. Thanks for the info.
