Today - Puberty = hormones start working = they get intimate = she regrets it and is left by someone older when he's done and she gets depressed and she is scarred for life or she gets pregnant and then goes to have the baby cut out of her womb and nobody talks about this
Back then - puberty = hormones start working = well fine your hormones are now working so you want intimacy so get married = normal and natural way of life

No point of pedophilia, even by modern standards, matches the honorable prophet Muhammad peace be upon him:
1) No preference to young girls shown, 25-50 only 1 wife (older lady Khadija), 50-63, 11 wives, mostly older
2) No sex outside marriage ever
3) No intercourse with children ever, lady 'Aisha already had her period when she moved in the same house and had physical contact.

Aisha Ra had puberty at 9 just like mother Mary(pbuh) at just 12 when she gave birth to Jesus(pbuh) and both weren't child 😇☝️

That was a nation who has passed away. They shall receive the reward of what they earned and you of what you earn. And you will not be asked of what they used to do.(QS Al Baqarah: 134)

He cannot be questioned for His acts, but they will be questioned (for theirs).(QS Al Anbiya:23).

Is then the man who believes no better than the man who is rebellious and wicked? Not equal are they.(QS As Sajdah:18)

Great answer! BarakAllahu Feekum. Another thing to ask people if they believe Aisha(RA) said she was unhappy or being treated unfairly/harshly during her marriage with Rasul Allah Alayhi Salatu Wa Salam. If they can't find evidence for that then why they harp on her age so much so long ago in time is amazing to me. It's baffling.

I don't think they can fathom that our Prophet(SAW) actually treated a young female with such respect when he wasn't necessarily obliged to. Especially back in those days with very little law and order/rights for women ☝🏼🤍

We kinda all knew it, but it was hard to explain it. Bringing their own ideals into the equation changes everything. This was very educational.

Back in the old time, people who's reached puberty were considered mature responsible adult, in THAT TIME.

If you don't agree, that's your problem.

When someone brings up Prophet Muhammad(ﷺ)'s marriage to A'isha, I usually answer with this:

It was consensual, it was with the agreement of her father. A'isha lived 50 years after the prophet (ﷺ) died and never married anyone else, and never spoke ill of the prophet (ﷺ). She had all the chances to do so if she was abused or anything, but she never did. She only speaks highly of him (VERY highly), and praises his deeds and mannerisms.

You are making the claim that it was wrong, explain why it's wrong and provide your moral compass. There is not a single verse in the Bible that gives an age of marriage.

A scientific research by Gluckmann and Hanson (2006) shows how in agricultural era 10 year olds had already reached physical and mental maturity, and how it has changed over the years. Even the lancet published it.

Safiyya—one of the prophet's wives—was from a Jewish tribe, and she first married at 10 (before marrying the prophet ﷺ). This was the norm back then.
A'isha was 9 at consummation, and she was physically and mentally mature at that age.
For christianity: Mary was 12 years old when she gave birth to Jesus.

In 1880 in america the age of consent was 10 years old in 37 states. In Delaware the age of consent was 7.
(Also in California today there is no minimum age for marriage, you can get married at any age with the consent of your parent or guardian. You can look it up.)

In the 1800s in England the legal age of marriage was 7 years old. This is a book written by Sir William Blackstone, who was a jurist, and if you study law in Oxford they will teach you his books. The book is called "Commentaries on the Laws of England". He says this in the book: "A female also at seven years of age may be betrothed or given in marriage"
He's not talking about his opinion, he's talking about the law in England at the time.

The problem is you see 7 year olds today and you're applying what you see today to the past, which is presentism—a fallacy. You cannot apply what you see of women today to the past. This is why you will never find anyone in the past ever having an issue with the marriage of the prophet (ﷺ). 200 years ago you're not gonna find a single person, a non-Muslim who spoke about this idea and criticized the prophet (ﷺ). It was well known, but no one criticized him. Because this was the custom of the people until less than 200 years ago. Only an idiot who didn't study history would have an issue with the marriage, because he doesn't know how things were in the past.

The prophet (ﷺ) married multiple women, and A'isha was the only virgin among them, they were all widows and divorcees. His first wife was 15 years older than him, and his second wife was also older than him. He's not looking for young women like some would claim.
