^^For all things merch^^

A little comparison video on the Tomei dumps compared to OEM - the OEM are like a maze inside there, its crazy to see a design like that.
And I found another crazy bottle neck sitting in the exhaust manifold, so decided to port the whole thing out.

I bought N1 manifolds that already had that extra bit milled off, but I still had to go in with a dremel and clean it up.

Ive been suggest to not go aftermarket into exhaust manifold. In the long run it crack and break...thats what ive been told, not my thought. And since the job to get there is mostly labor in term of money, my mecanic suggest me to port them same as you did. Never experience a failure in aftermarket manifold tho (at least on other platform). It surely help, air is power after all.

Oi Mate really enjoy the videos.
Here is my take on porting the Nissan knew what they did when they developed the RB26. It is a purebred race engine tuned down for road use. So i would leave the bulge as it is. it helps with accelerating and twirling exhaust gases to improve the middle rpm response, which is good for downshifting and accelarating on windy roads and such. I still think that you are also right by saying it helps with high rev boost/torque/HP. Though i could imagine it helps with higher speeds but leaves a gap in middle rpm range. yet i think it is in the hundreds of rpms, so the difference could be a minor one . Though i am an GTR enthusiast and a car mechanic i still lack the profound knwoledge of tuning the RBs, so its a more of humble opinion while stirring in muddy water, so to speak.
As will be explained in my next video (WINK) 😀 we did the other way around with my colleagues GTR and modified the head flange with a little Chamfer/Radius to compensate for casting tolerances in the flange
HOWEVER
Keep doing you🙌🙌

I’m curious why you had the exhaust side of the turbo ceramic coated but didn’t have your manifold and the down pipe ceramic coated? It would help with the spooling.

Porting cast iron with a Dremel !!? Reallly ? Could you even find a slower more awkward method ?

It will slow down the speed of the exhaust
