Bro, I got a salvaged Honda CBF300NA from a police auction last week and there were wires and splices for random electronics everywhere. I got frustrated and just chopped most of it off but I couldn't tell what wraps were factory and which were spliced. I spent about 10 hours just tracing the wiring and removing the extra stuff, but it left me without some connectors. Since I'm new to wiring motorcycles, I've been hunting for inspiration on whether to try to simplify it further or take it back to near-factory. This video came up and it made me feel good about not just slapping the ignition on and taking the time to plan the rewire. Thanks for this video. You've earned a subscriber!

I just did all the work on a Suzuki GS1000 78.Including mo.unit Blue, mo.button, mo.lock, motoscope tiny, and push buttons. It was really easy and now 100% functional! Thanks to MotoGadget!

Excellent video Dan, ive never attempted the wiring on my bikes before now, you've opened up a new world for me with moto gadget hardware. This winter (uk) I'm going to follow your advice and rewire my cafe racer, thanks again Dan.

Thank you for this very informative short video!

I would like to request/recommend, if/when it's possible you should make a video series to cover how to rewire a specific motorcycle model from start to end, listing out all the necessary parts needed per bike model. For Example: I am currently working on a 1979 Suzuki GS850G and would love to get rid of the old wiring harness, use upgraded LED lights and this new technology you are showcasing in this video, but my electrical skills are "0" but I am good in following step by step directions and I bet there are many like myself out there that are good with the mechanical restoration part of a bike but are rusty when it comes to electrical stuff. So, a video stepping through this upgrade process would help a lot of folks save time/money and frustration and they will not end up with extra part at the end of this upgrade process.

Great video, been looking for something like this for ages, definitely made me think about the unit now for my project, it does simplify everything. Thanks

Hi Dan.
Great video (also loved the one on the Mo.unit as well). Like Harry Potter, I have struggled with the "Dark Arts" for many years, which on one occasion caused an electrical fire at a petrol station while filling up my trike!!! This did raise a little concern at the time as you can imagine!!
I'm currently resto/modding a KZ750/4 into a Café Racer, here in Cairns, Queensland, so I have found your videos to be extremely useful! Keep up the excellent work.

I'm assuming when you do the final connections you will solder the ends of the bare wires connecting to the M unit ?? Or do you leave the strands bare and just tighten the screw to the wires to hold it in place?

Fantastic video mate! Videos like these make the daunting thought of wiring a bike with a M. Unit blue so much easier. Props for the CMSNL key chain too.

I got an FJR 1300 dirt cheap, runs so good but fairings are cracked, and ugly.

Haven’t ever done wiring or anything but I want to try and make it a naked bike. Let me know if I should run away or give it a go

So much work in this video. Well done Dan!
For me, this is like making a household budget. Sooo boooring! But when's started, it's quite satisfying.
Motogadget makes really good quality things. A bit pricey perhaps, but you get what you pay for.
Cheers!
