Sir Last question has a redundant dof. The small roller can rotate about its self. Dof = 3(n-1)- 2j - h - Fr. N = 4, j =3, h = 1 and Fr =1. Dof = 1.

for the last question, how are the rollers still considered as one link?? you just said that there is a sliding motion between them, and there is a p2 pair. If that is so, shouldn't we think of them as separate why the small roller and the big roller considered the same...anyone help me out on this..

in the 3rd question I think that the n=3, l=3(because he did not mention that it is welded), h=1. so DOF = -1

For the first example, its a bit unclear, when i refer to the text book, it's true that there is j2 =1 because of double-parallelogram . But if link 4 is adjusted to another way ( not performing parallelogram, than it has not j2 ) .. When there is no j2, the DOF or mobility is 0.

If two roller is considered as one link then how can you count higher pair between them???
i can never hear a higher pair between one link.

On solving first question at point 3 if u are considering some slide or slip then how u can consider as higher pair . Aap log plz eyse video ke question mat dala karo jise confusion ho . Ye nahi ki answer 1 hai toh jabarjasti answer 1 nikalogye . Aap jaise Guru ki wahje se hum jaise candidate ko bhi nahi kuch aata.

For higher pair diagram will slightly different, that looks like ternary joint in first problem
