Why does DASANI water taste horrible?

Why does Dasani taste so bad? Well, there's one thing you probably didn't know about where they get their water from...

Bruh.. my tap water tastes better than dasani "purified" tap water

There are several reasons why Dasani is so profitable:
1. Dasani water is cheaper than most brands with a strong bottle so they can be bought in bulk by vendors and vending machine companies.
2. Dasani is owned by Coca-Cola, which often partners with theme parks, malls, etc. Odds are, if they offer coke instead of Pepsi, Sprite and Dasani are right there besides it.
3. Oftentimes, due to reasons 1 and 2, Dasani tends to be the only water available when you’re out and about and you get thirsty. I doubt any significant slice of Dasani’s profits is directly made through personal sales.

Also, y’all need to stop with the “they add salt in it” bs. All drinking water, tap or otherwise, has salt and minerals in it. Dasani’s water however is made from reverse osmosis, which is a fancy science word for they use pressure to remove all impurities. The only issue is, this process also removes all the minerals that give water its taste, so they manually add those minerals back in, which should in theory fix the taste. However, in Dasani’s case, whatever combination of minerals they’re using is not doing them any favors.

I work in a gas station and you'd be suprised how much Dasani I sell. I always try to lean them away from it but some people are stubborn.

But the thing is, almost every other brand of purified water tastes fine, except for Dasani, so it's not just because it's purified tap water, there's gotta be something else going on with it..
