One of the famous lines from him: “it sends metal all around the place”

HEVT can give you a lot of sl when shooting at destroyers in the same spot consistently and it wont kill them fully yet.

For some reason I've had crazy success with naval shrapnel shells. I've been playing coastal, so thin armour probably means anything will do, but I seem to always get lucky with them, destroying compartments more often than I should.

Also fun for taking out deck guns and putting through the windows of the bridge.

I use HE-VT to kill boats because they're too fast. It actually worked pretty well
(Hope that poor PT guy in my match didn't know how he died even though the shell didn't touch him)

I personally use the radar activated AA shells for pt boats. It doesn’t have to be a direct hit to put them out of the fight.

Naval, the one you go to in Bluewater Fleet in the name of Silver Lions and nothing else

I like HE-TF Shells against destroyers too, if you miss shrapnell ist still quite good if you hit it has the same effect (im using the Scharnhorst)

Some destroyer players use HE-VT for everything. They seem to work like regular HE on ships, and of course they can be used against air as well.

I find that he does pen early tier destroyers and it's good to clear crew with but to deal heavy damage I think sap is needed to ammo rack someone

Quite like how the game actually show the differences between SAP shells, which irl is such an umbrella word. British small SAP like their 4.7in is just a CP, medium SAPs like 5.25/6in are CPBC, bigger SAP like their 8in is a CPCBC. The base shell is always a HE with smaller filler and a hard nose, but the caps are all over the places and 8in CPCBC/SAPCBC as the game calls it is not that different from an actual APCBC, as the British 14in proper AP is also designed with more fillers and better against thinner armour but worst against thicker, better angled plates comparing to US 14in APs.
Some certain other game just calls them all SAP and called it a day.
