It’s hilarious that the scene where Megatron gets thrown off the riff got cut, so in the final movie he’s just chilling in a pile of trash for no reason

I love how their design aesthetics contrast each other; with Sentinel looking sleek and shiny, while Megatron looms battle damaged and rugged

This scene shows that Sentinel is a narcissist. He clearly heard Megatron say that they would rule together, yet he replied by asserting himself as the one that would rule completely dismissing the statement. I mean, he completely looked down on the humans and told it straight to Optimist that they should serve them.

And that was the moment where sentinel ruined everything.

So to try and rationalize the plot of the first 3 movies, Megatron first planned this with Sentinel but the latter was lost in deep space on its way to earth. Next Megatron went searching for the All Spark, likely getting its location from The Fallen.
It was with the All Spark they would find the Tomb of the Primes and the Matrix to reactivate the solar harvester and get enough Energon to revitalize Cybertron. They were still able to get the location thanks to the shard passing the info into Sam’s brain.
Megatron then discovered Sentinel did make it to earth but was hidden on the moon. So they adjusted their plan and decided to rebuild Cybertron with old fashioned slave labor. Maybe Megs planned for Sentinel to rebuild the Solar Harvester to get the Energon too.
It’s all been part of the same plan. The All Spark, The Fallen, the Space Bridge all these plot holes could be resolved by simply making them stages of 1 singular plan. Use the AllSpark to find the Matrix to turn the sun into Energon, then bring Cybertron into the solar system to rebuild. And the Fallen’s hatchlings would serve as a new generation of Decepticons that would populate Cybertron and destroy all resistance. Probably kill Sentinel once they were done with him.
