Most impressive part of this video is Mick with the mental math 🤯

anyone who's looking to play at the D3 level the college could still give you a hefty academic scholarship even if your grades aren't great.

Good overview. Something I learned the hard way in my recruiting days: On the subject of "events", this can often times overlap with "teams". The best opportunities to get in front of coaches and to premier events (for most players out there) is to seek out getting on the most competitive teams you can. Being around other talented players forces you to up your game and grow, and being on successful teams gets you into and further through top tournaments where coaches are watching.

Thank you, I started playing my junior year and now I really love the sport and wanted to progress but it looks so slim to be a successful professional player especially as a senior in high school I’m doing what I can to get better and I’m just gonna enjoy the sport and maybe a offer will be earned ✊🏿

Thanks Paul. I’m trying to get recruited to go to college and just sent some emails to coaches. I love your videos. Keep up the good work. Good deal.

Thank You! Great stuff to digest as AU have a 5th grader who loves this sport and who’s dream is to play at the next level.

Thank you to Paul and the crew!! This video was very helpful in answering questions I had about playing in college!

But I do have a question that wasn't answered:
What about lacrosse players who weren't good enough to be recruited directly out of highschool? Do we have any realistic chance of playing college lacrosse?

I'm curious because I'm currently taking a gap year or two to improve my skills and earn enough money to pay for college.

Obviously you guys don't know me, but I just thought I'd put this out there and see if I could get some answers.

Thanks again guys!! As always, these videos are a GOOD DEAL!!

Four years later and list still holds mostly the comment about school. First question i hear from EVERY college coach to my son, "How are your grades?" Don't underestimate the importance for lacrosse/athletics and life!!!!

You didn't figure into your math that a number of the best/most desirable Division 1 lax schools don't offer athletic scholarships at all -- defending national champs Yale and the rest of the Ivies, for example. You can get a boost towards admission, but no scholarship. The service academies are free (actually they pay you) so no need for scholarships, but you're also signing up for a way of life for roughly the next decade.

There’s also plenty of great opportunities to play NAIA lacrosse. D1 and D2 NAIA schools offer athletic scholarships. And then there’s NCLL which is another club lacrosse league similar to MCLA but usually less organized but, there is some good talent and awesome opportunities in NCLL.

Great video, and a much needed topic of conversation, but don't forget about the NAIA, there are over 40 schools in both men's and women's each, all offer athletic scholarships. Lacrosse in the NAIA is growing quickly, particularly in non-traditional areas.

Probably my favorite video you made so far! Very informative and I believe a lot of guys could benefit from it. Would have loved to see you guys talk about NAIA as well being that they have lacrosse and I believe you can get a scholarship going that route as well. Overall loved it though!
