The only time I saw this happening was when a female cat had kittens twice in a short time. The first litter couldn't get their milk from their mom anymore just after she got pregnant again just after 2 or 3 months. She used to hiss at them when they were approaching her.
The mother cat in this vid attacks the kitten exactly when it wants to get milk from her. 0:19

Why did the cat flip out? That kitten was a different colour to the other two, maybe it was another cat's kitten and this mom cat got angry because the kitten tried to get at her milk. That's the only thing I can think of.

Okay, first if all the mother did nothing wrong . she's simply telling her kitten to stay away. Its not like she hates the kitten. its just a mother cats way of telling her kitten to stay away.
