As a Doberman owner, I love that people are naturally afraid of them. They are terrific guard dogs, NOBODY can out run a Dobe. They are also incredibly easy to train, very protective, silly, fun loving, and affectionate dogs. Our Dobermans have always been rescues. Doesn't matter their age, easy to train, eager to please their master. I'm snuggling with my sweet Penny Lane (our red girl) as I type. They also have beautiful smiles.

I was walking with my dobie when a little girl who knew me ran up to me and threw her arms around Jefferson's neck. His reaction is precious to me all these years later. He is gone now. He looked up at me with the sweetest, silliest expression like, "Did you see that??? She likes me." She had her face pressed against his. It was a magical moment.

I don't know why they say "doberman is a scary looking dog". In my opinion they are gorgeous looking dogs, nothing else but perfection.

People at the park compliment my two-year-old Doberman all the time... They always say hes a great looking dog but always include intimidating at the same time... He's definitely an attention getter because there's not that many Dobermans where I live.

People are afraid of my Doberman even without the cropped ears. If they only knew what sweet dogs they are. My poor boy doesn't even get a change to show them most of the time.

I have a Doberman female and they are extremely extremely loyal and always by your side! My girl Lola just makes my day everyday with her protection and love ❤

Finally speaking, all dogs are basically babies. Its the owner who has the responsibility of taking care and training the dog to be social. Mostly you need to keep them within the family, give love and play with them. Not keep them tied. It is a very intelligent breed so they get the vibe and grow up accordingly. I have found them to be the most loving breed.

Good video. Dobermans are some of the most beautiful dogs out there. But my experience was that they are only aggressive when necessary the one I interacted was perfectly nice to me even if she was protection trained. (It might be because she was a female but one way or another she was quite nice)

We got our Dobie from a Dobie rescue at 2 y/o. He is now 10 and has ALWAYS loved everyone and great at the dog parks. Our problem is when traveling in the RV, a lot of campgrounds wont allow “ vicious” breed dogs. No bad dogs, only bad owners! My old man now just licks everyone, he’s a lover

Docking and cropping are illegal in Australia, which changes their whole aesthetic somewhat. Even so, they are big, dogs with characteristic markings and body-shape. Bred as stoic creatures they don’t give much away (with or without a tail; my girl’s tail is - when relaxed and always alert - her tail has loosened to a full curl, tightening that extra quarter of a turn when she’s on high alert). Even with her tail, there’s not much tail wagging ever goes on and, for those who don’t know her intimately, I can certainly appreciate that she can be very hard to read. And the breed wasn’t actually bred as a guard-dog, as such, but more for personal protection. When it comes to food, my tax collector’s dog collects tax all for herself; as such, she has to protect me in order to get her cut 🤣❤️

When i was in my teens, a family member was looking after one for a few weeks, which at the time i visited i never knew. when i entered the kitchen where it was being kept i was shocked to see him/her. It laid still and never moved as i nervously edged past him. When i went to leave he got up and sat next to the door with a soft growl preventing me from leaving. It was only after i shouted for help and my relative entered was i allowed to leave. Since then i have been fascinated by them. IF i had enough time to give a dog i would get one tomorrow.
