As usual Jim a good demo video. The local mask is very powerful, but as I said before, they really need in a future update need to come up with the ability to
name these layers. With all those basic masks, if you want to edit any specific one it looks as though you would need to view each to find the one you want.

Nice example of using masks. Thanks, Jim. I haven't used masks very much in Luminar AI yet, but I will now. Very powerful. Luminar AI is quickly becoming my favorite photo editing tool.

This is what I would call old-school editing. But it shows that you can do that with Luminar as well, if you want to.

Very nice edit using just the basic masks, Jim. I hope you and the family are doing well.

Thanks Jim I like that your videos only target certain areas of the software at a time. Could you do a session on editing a photo to give a matt cinematic look?

Thanks Jim. This is how I like to edit with masks. I did not know how to do it in the new product.

Thanks Jim. I am really enjoying Luminar AI. Hoping that in a future update we will be able to rename the local masks.

Good, comprehensive but speedy tutorial Jim. Nailed it completely, you may get me moving over to AI rather than 4.3 yet.

Thx Jim, do not stop making these Luminar AI videos😉 I like finding af picture, that looks a bit like yours and follow the video step by step to learn the power of LAI - and to control it 🤣 If I could choose, you would make an edit of every single kind of photo - cloudy, sunny, waterscapes, cityscapes, forest, landscapes without water, Nightphotos, etc. 🤩

Great video Jim! I am coming to using luminar from lightroom and photoshop so no layers is a brand new concept. Do you miss having layers like in luminar 4 and photoshop?

Jim, I edited an image (structure) and used a mask (Radial mask). Later in the edit process I wanted to change the area that the redial mask cover, so I went back to structure where I can see the mask (on red overlay) but I do not see the controls of the redial mask (circles). What I have to do for the Redial mask control to show up ( the edited mask not a new control)

Always enjoy seeing what you can do to bring out the best of an image. I miss the layers of Luminar 4, but this helps me see other ways to do things.
This photo did bring up a question I haven't seen addressed on Luminar AI- when replacing a sky in a photo with the sky reflected in the water, how do you get the new sky to be reflected? I understand that this will be addressed in updates but how do I get the job done now?
Thanks for all the help and info.
