In this video we’ll explain what’s going on with the Schengen area, why it doesn’t seem to be working anymore, and what might happen next.

Having crossed the Polish-German border last week, I can tell you that there was just a police car and an officer watching cars drive by. I'm not sure if that counts as border control.

How about we defend our external borders so we can have free movement for its citizens?

To think that just a few years ago it was Germany tut-tutting everyone about letting everyone in.

Schengen was based on the idea that internal borders are abolished, whilst doubling down on external border protection.

Germany will do literally anything, but solve the issue where it starts. ON THE OUTSIDE BORDERS. ON THE SEAS. Instead theyll happily endager the entire idea of Schengen and EU like freedom of movement of goods and people, pretending the issue is Czechia, Austria, Poland, Danes...and not hundreds of thousands of little swimmers in Med sea.

It was AFD gaining decent votes that forced them to do it .... could've done all of that before but by doing it rn gives a win for the AFD narrative

If we protected the external borders...

The assumption was that migrants were all economically valuable people. Having the skills and talents to add economic value. However, most of the migrants did not have the necessary skills for a modern developed economy. They became more of a drain on resources rather than adding resources.

Not Swedish gangs, but “Swedish” gangs. How can we solve a problem if can’t openly talk about it?

Can't these politicians just say no to mass migration and illegal migration and stop with their PC nonsense.

First, criticize countries defending external EU borders over pushbacks, call use of force a "human rights violation". Then throw a tantrum because the illegals that got through ended up in your country.

Schengen is working nicely for the people who it was designed for, EU citizens.

I think a lot of these border controls are kinda silly.
You wouldn't impose border controls within your own country if people from one region committed crimes in another.
For migration the EU has to act together. If you want less refugees to come to Germany for example it's not going to help to keep them in Austria. Irregular migration has to be stopped earlier at the External border of the EU.

"teenagers" and "Swedish nationals" are clear euphemisms of migrants.

So are we agreed now slam migration is bad for countries as the cultures don't align?

All they had to do was properly police the external borders. But that would have required shared resources and cooperation so it didn't happen. So the whole idea fails.

The coming 10 years will be decisive in determining whether the EU progress across different areas of the last 30 years last or collapse into nothingness.

The only reason is migration. Not really sure how you can frame it any other way.
