A tip I picked up from way back in my art school days, use aluminum foil as your palette surface. It's non-porous so paint won't dry out nor stick nearly as quickly, and it's color neutral so it doesn't influence your color interpretation. It also won't break down if you add water, linseed oil, ammonia to keep the paints wet and/or thin them. Works great for acrylics, enamels, oils, essentially anything. Thanks for another great video! Keep being awesome!

Damn that's one awesome paint job! Those little details like the burnt sienna, black oil paint, and rub 'n buff really took that thing to a completely new level. Thanks for sharing!!

I stumbled onto one of your videos the other day and it introduced me to costume making. these videos are great and I've had a lot of fun messing around with some stuff on my own now! Thank you!

This was a nice video. BUT..., when you filled in all the recessed screw holes, did you remember to leave the battery compartment still accessible??? Being that this toy lights up & makes noise, the batteries WILL eventually die, and will need replaced...

This is rly great! I'm gonna try this for Hux's blaster using the FO Stormtrooper NERF I think :)

Awesome work, I always love to see a good NERF blaster mod to make it a good prop for a costume.

Use a tack cloth on it after brushing it off with the brush to remove any remaining fine particles before painting it.

Great video. Subbed. I'm doing this to my Poe blaster.

No screw holes but since you kept the sound effect element, now you can't change the battery since that compartment was secured by a screw.

Great work!
I have a question, why did not you cut the piece above the blaster?

I don’t think you listed the oil paints used for weathering, what kind do you recommend?
