My kid's been asking for clam chowder and I've been putting it off, since we don't live anywhere near the sea, and fresh seafood is hard to find. Never imagined that there would be canned clams. What an eye opener. LOL. THANK YOU for this video!!!!

I just turned 70, and I've been making clam chowder for decades. That being said, I'm always looking for a better recipe. I believe I've found it! This is a lot like the one I make now, but this will be the one I make next time. I have an entire notebook in my recipe cupboard of your recipes. Yes, I have an entire cupboard--three shelves--of recipe books and recipes. I have to say that the notebook I'm in the process of compiling of your recipes is the most used! Thanks for amazing and practical everyday content!! And my partner, Larry, has loved every single one of the recipes of yours that I have made, and he's picky!

Sir: Loved your recipe, though on my first try I realized I prefer more clams in my chowder. For round two, I doubled the clams and juice, then cut back on the chicken stock to so the total liquid amount was the same. Perfect for my taste, young Jedi, and sincere thanks for teaching me the ways of The Force. I've been looking for the perfect clam chowder recipe, and now I have it. Woot!

I made this last night and after doing so, I realized I was making clam chowder wrong. This is absolutely delicious. The only 2 things I did differently was rinse the diced potatoes three or four times to reduce the starch so it wouldn’t get too thick; I like my chowder not so thick, and I also added a half a carrot that I diced rather small, mostly because it was in the fridge staring at me. This is a terrific recipe and it has officially replaced my old recipe. My wife agrees! Thanks for the recipe, John! Love your content!

Great recipe ! I also added a couple of dashes of Creole Seasoning and served it with toasted garlic parmesan bread and an arugula salad with sherry vinaigrette dressing. A fantastic meal!

My mom is from New England so yum. I make my clam chowder with leeks, no celery 3 cans of clams, and evaporated milk that I add at the end. Love it so much

For Greek Orthodox people this Monday marks the beginning of the fasting period leading to Easter. It called "Clean" Monday and we customally eat sea food. This would make a very special addition to the festive table especially since clam chowder is not at all popular here in Greece! Thanks for the idea! ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
