Hey everyone, thanks for all your comments about the solar on the roof. It appears many of you are worried it will cause me issues. I see so many solar panels on roofs, I just figured it was the way to go. I’ll research further. Whatever I decide, the panels will be made for permanent installation. The Bluetti panels are nice and rugged, but they are not made to be set up permanently.

Do not put solar on your roof. You can not remove snow, and it bakes your roofing. Build a ground mount, and you can move the angle to sun for the seasons.

Jay, do flooring last. If you have plans for anything else in the living room, do that first. Paint, stain, etc. Always do floor last. Love ur channel. It’s the first thing I watch wed and sun morning. Aaron

Once you open the door to you personally, you can never close it again. Its better to have a Po Box Jay, then your personal life remains so. Good luck with your endeavours Jay. 🎉

I love your sign off: 'Thanks so much for watching. I'll be back...really soon.' It has such a comforting Mr. Rogers style feel to it. 😊

Jay, You are absolutely correct. Many folks just love your channel and would be more than happy to send you a home license plate. A local post office box is perfect. Keeps your personal life private and your YouTube followers happy. I love your infectious laugh.

Build a separate solar stand and platform high on the ground that you can get at to brush snow off . Do not put it on the roof, you will regret it . Build the stand out of steel or aluminum HSS and bolt it together! That way you can elevate it and hopefully not have any issues with bears. My two cents!

I was a military cook in the USAF & went TDY to a Canadian Forces base in the Province of Alberta as support personnel for a joint flying exercise. I loved it there. I say GO FOR THE COOKING! ✌️😸🐾🐾🇱🇷

I’m glad you’re cautious about how much personnel info you put out there. You never know what people are really about. 90% of followers are legit, but that10% are going to be problematic. Thank you for keeping it real!

I really love watching your channel. I don’t know why. I’m a suburban lady with husband and kids and dog. But I just love it.

Love the Bluetti! I'm running my place on an AC200L and B210. 1400 watt solar array keeps my place in the Catskill Mountains fully charged no problem.
Keep in mind you cannot charge the batteries below freezing temps. There are setups for keeping the batteries warm but you will need more than 700 watts of solar panels to keep the system up and running when it's below freezing (if you plan to charge while you are away and temps are below freezing)

Jay congrats on landing the Bluetti partnership. You surprised me with the Anker system and from my research thus far the Bluetti is very good quality. I have the simple AC70 and a 200 watt solar panel package that’s perfect for the trips out when a power source is needed.

I bought a bluetti AC200P and three 270 watt modules in 2022. I waned to gain experience with solar power for my garden. From June to October I got 150 kWh here in Germany. It led me to build a 3 phase Victron PV system with 23 kWp PV and a 30 kWh battery for our three-household house. I spent three weeks wiring the whole thing. About 1300 m cable went into it.
The weakness of the bluetti AC200P is if you switch the AC output on, it drains about 2.5% of the battery per hour. That's 60% in 24 hours, without any load. That was the major power consumption the system had. I needed 24h continuous power for a fridge (bought one with only 0.2 kWh/d). Also for a Wi-Fi router.

22:23 I operated a Private Post Officer Box for 48 years and it was absolutely fabulous because although I kept changing houses, My Post Office Box never did.

Hi Jay. I’m a 71 year old woman and enjoy your channel. I started watching at the beginning of Covid and always look forward to a new video each week. The idea of cooking is great. One suggestion. What if you posted the ingredients beforehand of what you will cook so fans can enjoy “Cooking with Jay”? Keep doing what you do!
