Ladder lacing is the kindest to your feet. No crossed laces

I prefer lacing both strings upward skipping an eye each lace, that makes it so there’s only one cross lace.

There’s is a Much simpler way to do it, than using this method and no crossing laces under your ladder lace.

This is actually WRONG. I was in the Navy, and we were taught the CORRECT way to do it such that there are ONLY the horizontal bars visible, and making it so that if your boot has to be cut off after an accident the knife only has to cut one row of laces. You start as he did, but instead of a diagonal and zig-zags, both halves should be equal - then one side goes up ONE hole then across, while the other side goes up TWO holes then across then repeat every second hole to the top.
