NEW ADIDAS ULTRA BOOST 2019 FIRST THOUGHTS! THINGS I LIKE / DISLIKE

So the new adidas Ultra Boost 2019 will be releasing December 15th and is the dawn of a new ultra boost era, but is it too late for adidas to reinvent the most comfortable sneaker ever? When you recreate the famed ultra boost into a newer 2019 version, you have a ton of pressure from the die hard fans, will it be good enough? There are many things I love about the new version, and some things I dislike, but ultimately I like the product. I am not sure if this will be the saving grace adidas needs to maintain its cool factor that it lost so quickly in 2018. I think 2019 will be a pivotal year for the brand but I am excited to see where futurecraft and the ultra boost like takes the company. I personally thing they need to bring the wow factor and dare i say it, hype, back to the brand. This was definitely missing in 2018 and 2019 can be better if they get that hype back. Regardless I support the brand and love the product, I cant wait to get these on feet and give you guys a review!

Dude, who cares about "saturating the market"?? I want a pair of shoes, they're available, I buy them. Anyone who loses "excitement" because the shoe he bought 2 years ago is now available again needs to get a life. If anything, I hope they do it even more so they can even be found on sale.

I don't think that this is the UltraBoost 5.0. Pretty sure it's just a variation of the UltraBoost, a performance focused one.

1) I can easily imagine pulling these off, but it won’t be as versatile. It’d require a techwear vibe, but with the old UBS, you could ear them with sweats.
2) It still looks like an ST to me (more boost, heel counter looks deeper into the midsole, more support)
3) it It looks built for speed like the Nike Zoom Fly/Breaking 2 shoes.
4) We’ve had enough of the same UBs over and over. UBs are still overpriced imo, but you have had a long while to get a pair of the old ones if that’s what you want.
I like the face cam again btw. You don’t drop tons of cash on clothes for nothing.

I'm so bummed that the design is changing so drastically. The original 1.0 through the 4.0 have stuck true to the design all the way through and they've just made decent quality of life improvements to the silhouette over those iterations. We'll see how they look and feel on feet next year, fingers crossed we're all wrong about this version.

hopefully this will be better for actual running. the previous versions weren't supportive enough and slightly heavy. I hope they keep retroing the previous models tho because those are better aesthetics wise

These new shoes seem like they’re a lot better for running. Most if not all the points hes made were for lifestyle shoes. I think they’re trying to rival the Nike epic react

To me, it just looks more like a running shoe, which is what the Ultraboost really is. It may not be a good looking shoe but I guarantee more runners will wear these Ultraboosts.

There's no way around it, that shoe looks like shit. If that's the 5.0 then I plan stocking up on 4.0s because I'll never accept that garbage, ever.

The issue here is the Ultraboost fans who use it as a lifestyle shoe aren’t happy with the aesthetic of the shoe. But Adidas even said this shoe was mainly focused on the tech in the shoe for running. So relax and enjoy the shoe for what it’s meant for.

I completely agree with everything you said in this video and I’m a loyal ultraboost wearer. That’s pretty much all I wear because they’re the most comfortable for me for every day wear but aesthetically I am not a fan of the this 2019 version. I’ll wait and hope for a 5.0 and see what they do with that but I’m not drawn to these at all. Thanks for sharing and I’m still definitely interested to hear your thoughts once you have a pair and have been able to wear them and see them in person.
