The Ultra Boost 19 had a soft release in Dec 2018 followed by a larger scale release in Feb 2019, and since then the overall love and Hate has grown for this controversial sneaker model. in this video I want to discuss this sneaker, 9 Months after the release.

The adidas Ultra Boost has been a fan favorite for over 5 years running with 4 primary distinctive patterns, so when we were anticipating an ultraboost 5.0, the 2019 or ultra boost 19 was not expected. It caught us all by surprise and many scoffed at the change up.
The ultraboost was primarily a running sneaker but was adapted as a lifestyle model, so with visions of the 2019 it was clear that adidas was not listening to the true consumer when rebranding the popular model.

More boost, nicer primeknit, better stability, all things that are offered on the new flagship however it was delivered in a package that people didnt like.
Attached tongue, terrible lace cage, odd looking heel counter, too snug etc.

The new model didnt get love for the ascetics of the model, but for wear-ability from casual to running, these things are great. May not have been a bargain for the $180 price point, but for $88 what do you think? you can seriously pick them up for that right now on the adidas sale!! link below.

After you get used to the snug fit, these things feel exceptional on feet, good enough for me to buy my 3rd pair.

Lack of collabs - I feel like this was a huge miss for the brand. this should have been a focus for a side project to create energy.

They also lacked innovating more colored boost models, which is something we are seeing more of for 2020 already

Future thoughts? unfortunately I think this was not a model that was picked up by either the niche sneaker groups or the masses, often overlooked and passed up. the 2020 or adidas ultra boost 20 has surfaced already with small updates to the previous version mostly just a knit pattern and colored boost. Will it be a success? hard to tell. for those that try the 19 they like it, just hate the look from what I gather, so it seems like they need to make a consortium version that actually reflects something DIFFERENT than the regular pairs, perhaps a tongue? more innovation please, on an already great midsole, and i think that would be the key to more success.

I like them, the 360° knit makes them much more comfy plus all the boost, however, I do miss the old cage. That being said, I think a cageless 19 would look sick🔥🔥

Edit: you can't really go wrong with ultraboost in my opinion

In terms of look, the 4.0 beat every Boost model but in terms of performance the Ultraboosts 19 are insanely good. In in the Army, I run with these shoes at least 3 times a week for 3+ miles every time and they're just insanely good performers with great comfort and stability. Best running shoes I've ever own

I have been wearing my UB19 solely for workouts primarily running, and I have to say it’s the best running shoes I’ve ever had. If you can get them for around $100, I think it’s a great deal.

I love them so much I own 4 pairs (Triple Black/Pride multicolor/Mint Green & Grey/White & Grey). I also have 2 pairs of v3.0 (Black/Grey); however, I never wear them because I don't like how extremely soft and bouncy the sole is. This feature actually makes my joints and lower back hurt. UB 19 and Vapormax Flyknit 3 are my favorite and most comfortable go-to sneakers that don't look old-fashioned like my NB 990 V4.

I prefer the UB19 over all previous models. I’m a runner and the UB19 is a much better performance shoe and leaps ahead in comfort for lifestyle. I own three pairs and have one dedicated to running which I rotate for recovery runs along with my Hoka Clifton 6. The UB19 feels good on the feet for my 6-8 miles runs on recovery days. I dig the aesthetics for the lifestyle wear.

I walk around 17-20k steps a day in my line of work, so I need comfortable footwear. I tried a pair of react 55 and hated how quickly the shoe bottomed out. I bought these a few months ago and they feel better after you break in the upper. Adidas needs an upper similar to a NB 990Vxx, with that ultraboost. If they did that....GAME OVER
