I would pay money for DLC that included the "original" never-ending housekeeping game. I barely want to clean my own house, but something about that game and this song and the dialogue made me feel so calm and at ease.

This game is a one in a lifetime experience, you'll never be the same after it

It's so unexplainable the feeling this song gives off paired with the level of the game. Despite the repetitive nature of the level and Davey cutting it to a halt, the whole atmosphere is almost too artistic to be put into a form of art itself, like a book or a picture. My interpretation is the gentleness of it all. Almost as if you came through something so traumatic that you will never really be the "same", but this is you trying to do something, rather than become nothing. Yes, it's technically daily chores, but there's more to it. What happened, happened, whatever it may be. And it was awful, but there's nothing that can change it. And this level mixed with the calming music just paints the picture of the process of moving on, slowly, and carefully. You can never forget it, but maybe with time, and careful distraction, you can be happy again..

I'm going to learn this on guitar and every day I'm going to come home and play and sing this song for hours. This music makes me depressed, but also soothed. The power such simplicity holds is....mesmerising.

This track and this part of the game just got me to the very core. The whole idea of purification, the painful satisfaction - almost to tears - of washing yourself over and over again to get rid of something... I can relate a lot. And it is so well made. I think interaction, even if the "gaming" part is a bit left over, just brought the experience to a whole new level of reflexion and feelings. And on a personnal note, I realize that it is so rare for me to directly feel targeted as a human being by the emotionnal message of a work of art that I'm just astonished, because I'm not used to be the "target", and because the depth of the overall project is so intense by itself that I think I could spend hours talking about it. Usually, when I want to talk about something for that long, I need to come up with my own excuses to keep talking and digging. :3
So yeah. As an aspiring game designer, I think "The Beginner's Guide" will be one of the games that will inspire my work the most, and will remain one of the closest to my heart.

I think the whole point of the cleaning part of the game was just a symbolism of Coda trying to "clean or tidy up" the chaos in his life and in his mind, that's why you get the peaceful music. Davey also said he was at the time in which he made this game much happier.

I don't know why, but more than any other part... this specific part hurt me. a lot

it's a beautiful conveyance of so much with so little, and in a strange way the theme stays relevant throughout the game. you can't stay in that middle dark space too long. let go, let live, move on.

all told in a beautifully simple game about cleaning a house.

this game is easily one of the most beautiful things I've ever experienced, and I'm not forgetting it any time soon. or ever, honestly
