Madara vs. Obito – Closer than you think

Obito is actually pretty strong. Kamui is overpowered, who knew.

I think the reason Obito was so shocked/scared when Kabuto summoned Madara in front of him, is because he hadn't revealed his identity to Kabuto yet, and Kabuto had basically learned that Obito wasn't Madara by way of actually summoning Madara. He even goes as far as to say "Don't worry, I haven't told anyone yet." to ease Obito's nerves.

I always interpereted the Obito seeing Madara thing as Obito being worried because his cover was blown. He was still pretending to be Madara at that point, even to Kabuto.

Obito is both one of the coolest and most OP characters in Naruto. New manga centered around him would be epic. His voice, demeanor, fighting and storytelling capabilities would make him a prime candidate. He’s just too cold, easily my favorite character. Shippuden is literally driven by his actions alone. Every scene with his orange mask is absolute gold

Juubito's inability to use Kamui feels even more like a plot nerf when you remember that Juubi Madara was able to use the other Kamui eye that he stole from Kakashi seconds ago just fine in order to chase Obito into the Kamui dimension. You can hand-wave it by saying that it was a "more complete six paths mode" but I really just think it's Madara privilege at that point, and feels inconsistent.

swag and his friends are like a bunch of archive historians. bury themselves in a pile of ancient texts all day, flipping pages after pages, pondering the same old questions year after year, yet always can find out something new once in a while and get us nerds all hyped up.

ill put it this way, this is an obito with his one eye. Imagine if obito had both his eyes, he would have both defensive and offensive range one shot abilities. He would be unhittable and then can pop out of nowhere and kamui your head off. Not to mention with both eyes, his kamui would be faster so he would be even stronger, when both eyes together they become stronger and complement each other. He would also have susano, and we saw when he gave his chakra to kakashi, kakashi had one of the strongest susanos in the verse. Obito already has hashirama cells and uchiha blood so he would have sage of 6 paths amped susano on top of both kamuis. We saw how strong kakashi was with just temporary borrowed power and he isnt even uchiha and he has no prior experience using susano or obitos other eye.
I dont know why obito never decided to get his other eye back from kakashi, he easily could have several times, he showed he could invade the leaf and get in contact with kakashi, he met kakashi several times, nothing was stopping him from snatching the eye at any part of the show. Maybe he thought he was already strong enough. And to be fair obtio never ended up losing, he only ended up "losing" once he became the jinjuriki and gave up basically due to talk no jutsu.

I’m glad that y’all did a video about my favorite character in Naruto, Obito. Every time I tell anyone that my favorite character in Naruto is Obito they always say something like “What, why is he your favorite?”. And I just tell them that I like him because for the most part he stood by what he believed in and yeah, he wavered from time to time on his beliefs but he still tried to do what he had to do. And on top of that (in my opinion) every single time that Obito was on screen he had the best, coolest, and most bad ass scenes. Like almost every single one of his scenes(again in my opinion) was bad ass! From him being Tobi and trolling Kakashi and his team, him getting burned with Amaterasu and then all of a sudden it’s just gone and he has no damage, him declaring war on the ninja world, to him being the one giving Pain orders. Oh, and don’t let me forget him trolling Deidara, and also when Kisame was about to leave the Akatsuki but Kisame learned who Obito really was and decided to stay on that and that alone and then called Obito the true Mizukage. And speaking of Mizukage, Obito literally if I’m not mistaken started one of the most ruthless periods in the Hidden Mist. He used genjutsu on Yagura for years! Not days, weeks, or months but years and made Yagura one of the harshest Kage in Naruto with his genjutsu creating the Blood Mist. Obito did that lol. But that’s only some of the reasons why he’s my favorite character in Naruto.
