I brought a 2007 manual Yaris brand new. It finally died on me in 2020. I replaced two starters, two water pumps, two clutches, a rear wheel baring, and one transmission before the engine started severely burning oil, then one of the cylinders stopped firing. The car lasted me 645k mostly highway miles. This was the most reliable car I ever owned.

The Toyota Yaris you showed, is called the Toyota Vios in the Philippines and is the most popular car in the country since its debut.

I suddenly missed my 2008 Yaris sedan after watching this. That car never gave me a headache and shown how reliable it is during my 8 years of ownership. It conquered floods and 10km oil changes and still run efficient. Mechanical bits that failed over the years are the radiator fan, rear shocks and wheel bearings only. Thank you for honoring how great this car is.

My brother bought a new 2007 Yaris sedan. He drove it until 2021. It had 500, 398 miles on it when he traded it in on a new Corolla Hatchback. It had the original engine and automatic transmission. He had to replace the fuel pump once and the alternator once. He drained and filled the transmission fluid every 100k. Brakes were done a few times, and the fan belts were as well. It was burning about 1 quart of oil every 3k miles. It was an excellent vehicle. The dealer gave him $200 trade in, polished it up, and had it in their showroom as a half million mile Toyota in Lemon Grove, California....

I just bought a 2009 Yaris with 190k miles. Cosmetically it needs a lot of work, but no rust and after watching this video I am convinced that it is definitely worth fixing it up. I appreciate a well built and simple vehicle that can get me to and from work reliably. I also use it to do deliveries for Uber, DD, and Instacart. I love the great gas mileage I get with this car! I hope I can drive it another 200k miles.

In Europe you could even buy 1.4 D4D diesel. I found out it's the greatest every day highway commuter with lowest fuel consumption ever.

I have been WAITING for you to talk about the Yaris, I bought one used with 130, 000 miles and its such a champ. I wanted a prius but decided to still get a cheaper and still reliable car. Do not regret and am such a Yaris fan.

The GF's (original owner) 2009 automatic has 291k miles. Literally no leaks and never a Check Engine Light

Alternator went this year, and I think she mentioned the fuel pump needing replacement a few years back. Other than that, just the typical brakes, tires, batteries

As soon as I started doing maintenance, I did a complete ATF change. Next thing to tackle will be a leaking CV boot
