It’s a wonderful life will never not be relevant nor impactful. That ending is just amazing.

“To my big brother George: the richest man in town”

"Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings." I adore "It's a Wonderful Life", even though it wasn't well received when it was originally released, it has become a staple of the holiday season.

I’ve had depression for quite a while. One day I’m having a very bad episode my husband mentions “It’s A Wonderful Life” and gives me my own Clarence rundown. It was silly stuff like “Who’s going to make sure product x is always available for customer A?” “Who is going to make cookies this Christmas?” It did lighten the mood a little.

Frank Capra’s films are very inspirational, as his protagonists are usually the underdogs you want to see succeed

I have watched The Wizard of Oz and It’s a Wonderful Life over 100 times each, closely followed by Miracle on 34th Street and To Kill a Mockingbird. A few years ago, I took my 85-year-old mother to see The Wizard of Oz at the theater. While waiting for the movie to start, she told me she’d never seen it. I was shocked until I realized she had used that time, while my 11 siblings and I were glued to the television, to get things done. ❤

The sound of music is a big favorite in our family, every time someone turns it on they all come to watch!

I can watch all of these over and over again. One you missed is "A Christmas Carol" with Alistair Simm.

High Noon was unforgettable for me as soon as I saw it, and I watch Miracle on 34th Street every Christmas. The scene where Kris Kringle could inexplicably speak Dutch to the girl in line gets to me like no other, and I swear the actress playing the girl's adopted mother was holding back real tears.

Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner. While the story is simple with an interracial couple at the center, the main message is that two people of different races can fall in love and find compatibility. It's even more significant that anti-miscegenation laws in the US were abolished after the movie’s release and the movie came out a month after MLK got assassinated.

The Wizard of Oz(1939) is one of my favorite Classic Movies of ALL-TIME.

The movie is one of the inspirations to one of my favorite Classic Anime Series, Brynhildr in the Darkness(2014).

Both The Wizard of Oz(1939) and Brynhildr in the Darkness(2014) are an ALL-TIME Classic. I ❤ them both dearly.

Love all these old movies. I would add to the list of inspiration movies The Pride of the Yankees and To Sir With Love

Gah! The Sound of Music. I loved that movie as a little girl and recently I’ve started watching it again. I understand all of the underlining problems with the Nazi’s and Hitler taking over Europe now so watching all of the Austrians sing together and watching the family running away to Switzerland makes me tear up

The Best Years of Our Lives should have been on the list.

Gone with the wind not on this list is criminal.

It is arguably one of the greatest films ever.
