As far as I'm concerned, Jackson Browne is one of the best singer/song writers of the 1970's. Check out - "The Late Show", "For a Dancer", "Your Bright Baby Blues", "The Only Child", "Love Needs a Heart", "Looking into you", "From Silver Lake', & "Something Fine". All good songs. You guys are cool, I enjoy your channel.

People should review Jackson's Get the Load Out / Stay. There's one of the most beautiful songs/ballads about rock n roll life.

Jackson Browne started his career writing songs for other artists such as the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (he was briefly a member in 1966) & the Eagles (Browne co-wrote "Take It Easy"). But in the 70's he started recording his own songs. He had a lot of hits 70's-80's such as "Rock Me On The Water", "Here Come Those Tears Again", "The Pretender", "Running On Empty", "Somebody's Baby", "Tender Is The Night" etc.

So many greats by this man, The Pretender being my favorite, Running on empty, take it easy(a hit for the eagles) On the Boulevard and the comments will give you many more. One of the greatest singer/song writers ever, bar none. Check out more, you won't be disappointed. Rock on y'all.

"Was I unwise to leave them open for so long?" I really like how the guitar solo resembles tears falling, fits and starts at first, building towards a wail. The bass line really grooves in the chorus too. David Crosby and Graham Nash sang the backup vocals and Jesse Ed Davis played lead guitar. Browne wrote the song in 1971. The years he sings about could well be the late 1960's filled with wars, riots, and assassinations, take your pick. Jackson Browne is also well known for writting the Eagle's classic "Take It Easy" together with Glenn Fry. When you're ready for more from him, check out "Running On Empty", "Fountain of Sorrow", and "Late For The Sky" among many others.

Jesse Ed Davis rips it on guitar! Legend is that he just came into the studio and busted out that solo on the first pass, not written in advance or planed. Amazing!

I fell in love with his music as a teen listening to his great Running On Empty album. So talented.

This instrumentation on this song is incredible. The bass line is especially fine. It was played by the legendary bassist Leland "Lee" Sklar, who has his own great YouTube channel.

"These Days" is one of my favorites from Jackson Browne, though his song catalog is very deep! Lots of songs worth checking out. A great singer/songwriter of the 70s & 80s

Can’t miss songs by Jackson Brown:
Somebody’s Baby
Running on Empty
Tender is the night
The Load-out

You both might be the most entertaining couples on the tubes. One of my regular stops when i need a lift. Cheers
