That's why i love your youtube chanel, you always make very advanced/niche tips so useful when we have to "cheat" specific render. I still love Enscape but i wish they add few more features like you said fall-off option for texture (could be very useful for velvet too) or in my case, a true mesh light option not just emissive texture.
For me Enscape is still the best engine render for a nice balance between quickness / quality / simplicity and this well integration directly into sketchup.
