First a banana, then grapes. Michelle was determined to spoil the lipsync at all costs XD

Let's have a moment to remember the great Lou Adler who founded Dunhill Records and signed and produced The Mamas & The Papas and the rest is history...

Heck yeah! This is a whole package right here--great song, great set stage, great outfits, great performance. There you go kids, that's entertainment. And Mama Cass always brings it to the level of art with a bit of sadness.

This is probably my favorite set of any that was used on the Ed Sullivan show. I love the colorful set and all the weird props. So glad you uploaded this today, as this is the only song in this segment that hadn't been uploaded previously. "Monday, Monday" was the first song they sang, then "I Call Your Name" and finally, "California Dreaming" if people want to watch the full segment in order. Afterwards, Ed interviewed them and they put love beads around his neck. One of my favorite moments on the Sullivan show, and I love the harmonies and sound of the Mamas and the Papas! This turned out to be the last appearance by the group on the Sullivan show. I think the only full song that hasn't been uploaded yet is "Dedicated to the One I Love" from an earlier episode.

So many of the acts on Ed Sullivan's show were live and NOT lip-synced. It's a shame TM&TP were.

It’s really too bad they never sang live on the show

This performance was awkward because Michelle was fired for her affair with Denny and they had to beg her to return.

Ok Andrew, where's the missing Mamas & Papas tune from June 11, 1967, "Dedicated To The One I Love?"
