You may have heard about Apple and Facebook in the news recently for their recent spat over a new policy in iOS 14. Apple is requiring developers like Facebook to receive express permission from users to track them across apps and websites. Facebook is worried that most users won’t give them that permission, which will make their advertising products less profitable. The two companies have now officially became rivals. And in this video, we’re going to find out how their relationship evolved to this point, and what the conflict looks like today.

Facebook says it supports small businesses, but that's complete nonsense. It crushes them. When Facebook thought that Instagram and Whatsapp were threatening Facebook's business, it quickly bought them and even threatened Instagram's founder to give him the company. Apple has done a really good job with the privacy feature, I want the option to let myself be spied by others or not. Facebook just wants to pry into our lives, that much personalized advertising does more harm than good.

My family has a small craft beer business, we target ads based on age and location, and I see most small businesses target their ads based on that general data. So, users with App Tracking disabled won’t really affect us, as every Facebook user already has that information introduced when they first create an account. Facebook is just trying to protect itself and its business, it doesn’t mind about small businesses.
