A Saurya airline plane crashed in Kathmandu at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal. 19 people were onboard in the plane out of which 18 bodies have been recovered. The pilot has been rescued and is undergoing treatment.
Nepal has had a long history of plane crashes. Poor infrastructure, old planes and poor regulations have contributed to the numerous incidents. Hilly terrain, rugged mountains and unpredictable weather have been mostly cited as the reason for the crashes.
