Its always great when an audience recognizes an unannounced Beatles song and starts cheering after the first line, then sings along.

With virtually the whole planet watching, he stands alone on a stage and sings the truth. Unbelievable.

Elvis has a brilliant voice. Massively underrated, although he did sell a few records!

Everybody knew that The Beatles should have been there, that's why some artists did Beatles songs here and there on Live Aid, that was going to be the moment 😭😭😭
R.I.P John Lennon.

Great of him to sing this song, over any number of his own.
it's sentiment was perfectly on point for the event.

Nobody had a bigger PAIR that day!!! That took STONES, A BRASS PAIR. You see that 100K sized Crowd. To sing that, all by yourself, one song on that day. OMG! Where is the courage and confidence in 2021. Answer: NO WHERE

If you listenvery closely, you can hear part of the audience sing the horns fill at 0:43. That's how you know a song is absolutely iconic

Imagine what could've been. The boys just running onto the stage and hearing the beatlemania like screaming once again after nearly 20 years. A reunion of The Beatles would've been so amazing. It was rare seeing John live in the 70s and they really were just different people doing different things at that point. Well atleast we had Paul there. Wouldve been nice to see George and Ringo too.

I don't know why, but every time I put this on, I shed a tear for what was and what will never be again.

In a parallel universe somewhere, John, Paul, George and Ringo probably reunite on that same day and perform the song. Imma go cry now :(
