This video shows you how to change the pre-programmed amount of water that flows each time you make a coffee. You can change the factory setting from short espresso to long espresso (or make the pulls even shorter).

What you did with the program method is just added too much water to the double shot espresso and made the shot very weak. What you wanna do is the flow control method in order to let the water flow slowly through the coffee powder in order to make a normal long shot. Ie a long cup of coffee which is not watery like in your way.

Cortado is not short, that would be ristretto…cortado is an espresso with a small amount of milk
