Me casually watching a Bob Dylan documentary because I love Bob Dylan, suddenly Patti Smith shows up and proceeds to change my life forever. This clip is absolutely staggering. Smith is THE punk rocker. The greatest of them all. Posers like the pretentious Henry Rollins or Johnny Rotten have NOTHING on the queen of punk. The poet who rules all. Patti Smith is a true inspiration, as a punk rocker, as a poet, as a musician, as a singer, but most of all as a person. I love her and always will.

I was blown away when I saw this. I wasn't too familiar with Patti Smith, but this just mesmerised me. She almost seems possessed or something. Creativity bordering corageously close to mental illness . Ive Since become a big fan of hers. A true artist.

Patti Smith was the queen of rock and roll back in the mid to late 70s. She was so fuckin' cool. She was New York City's female John Lennon if anyone knows what I mean. She is a true legend an icon. We fuckin' love you Patti. Fuck rhe clock!
