I used to use Giant clams in the recycler because it was easy and I still needed the wool.

I recommend putting the wood stack underneath the cooking pots to fill negative space, I've done it in my kitchen on my battle ship.

As a bit of a loot goblin myself that trys to collect everything i can, i just toss them into the recyclers with the wool as well, can never have too many trash cubes

One of my biggest complaints about Raft is that it doesn’t give you titanium tools until after you beat the game. You are stuck with metal ones the entire way through until the game is over, at which point they become practically useless, because the game is already over.

Fun fact, I use giant clams on the regular to make a "nesting" wall. Where birds will lay in them and you can pick them off from a distance will bows and arrows easily, basically making an endless feather and food farm for almost no waste, though I will warn you, the feathers will become a clutter item with this wall.

As a new learning player of Raft this information helps on the clam shell I got 20 of these bad boys and I was thinking maybe later you'd be able to use them for something but at least I know I can recycle most of them or use as bird nests now much appreciated for the info 👍

Giant clams are great for the recycler. Especially before you have extra wool at your disposal. I see them as free trash cubes

I like using the clams for birds nests to kill the seagulls and take their drumsticks. I know it’s not practical but ever but if food helps. It is also good for keeping seagulls away from your farms.
