I swear, Amazon has to have sold MILLIONS of these around the world by now. EDIT : Everyone knows the Chinese bikes are cheap, let's face it, but you guys LOVE them. I am 53 and I see Amazon bikes as a whole new generation of Harley Davidson ; You HAVE to wrench on it, and each time the relationship between you and your iron horse grows stronger. That's what I see.

Truly one of the best hawk 250 content creators. Haven’t uploaded for a while, I hope you don’t quit. Love binge watching

I did a quasi supermoto upgrade by purchasing an amazon 19” front rim with Shinko 705s tires. Bolted right on with no other mods. Great job on your conversion.

i'll tack this onto the list of mods beyond my scope, but still was great to watch. i felt that "laying in yard" frustration lol

When we put a 08 ninja 250 motor in my buddies TBR-7 we changed the bearings to fit the hawks axle size. No serious modifications for the 08 ninja wheels. More modifications needed to be made to fit the ninja 250 brakes. Wish we would have had the XR250R suspension and swing arm that’s on it now when we did the motor and sumo tires. Had to switch bearings again when we upgraded the suspension. Nice build brother. Edit: the 17s and street tires do make a huge difference. My recommendation is do the XR shock forks and swingarm mod. Even bigger difference than the sumo tires

Like the work you did and now you definitely have a much higher quality set of wheels than oem. That being said though for the trouble, you could have gone with bigger tires and a beefier bearing from Niko or another high quality bearing distributor and saved a lot of money and time. I guess now though you wont ever have to worry about spokes which will definitely be nice.

CSC is a CA China bike store that sells supermoto wheels that fit the TT250 witch is a HAWK with CA smog stuff, 16" SG250 wheels would save you a lot of work if someone wants to do this with out brake mods and grinding metal😉 love the big bore vid🙂

Dude, you did the most excellent job imaginable considering you have basic tools to work with. You didn't get sloppy on anything. It's all too easy to drill a hole out too wide. Your tolerances would be Jet Propulsion Labratory acceptable. As you can guess, I am all too familiar with Chinese engineering. Right now it is the Japanese that have the quality control as an art. The Chinese make it, slap it together and put it on the sales floor. It's all just a bit rushed. California Scooter Company actually runs through their deliveries and makes sure some form of quality control has been applied. That is the strong point of their company. You have done a marvelous job of working on this bike. It is sad to say all this has to be done to get the unit to a level of acceptability to ride it but you did a sensational job. The Bauer tools are good. I use them. They are affordable quality. I actually bought a generic angle grinder at Harbor Freight for $10. I got two and they are gotta haves. Thanks for the video.

I HIGHLY reccomend taking your front brake bracket to a machiine shop to have them clone it to a single part. There should not be that many bolts holding the caliper to the fork. Also, I'd double check the sprocket alignment just to make sure you don't need a spacer or have the rear of the counter shaft turned to align it. If just enough slack gets into the chain it WILL derail and make for a bad day.

Other than that, this was an awesome mod that is shockingly easy to do!
