My piece of junk Hawk 250 has almost 15, 000 problem free miles on it. Tons of reliability and performance mods can be had for a pretty cheap price.

Bought mine a year and a half ago. Best caruretor is a Nibbi 28mm. Use the stock airbox ! Trim the airbox tube a little. I got rid of the acid battery and used a gel type. use a 17/45 sprocket set. Enjoy !

I recently bought two from Powersports Max and think they're pretty decent. $1650 each delivered to my door. I removed the plug so I could adjust the low speed mixture screw and shimmed the needle with three washers. They run great. I purchased a 17 tooth front sprocket to try next since they're geared so low.

Dude, ,, good honest review, like it. For a guy like myself, , , first time dirt biker / trail rider, sounds like a good learner bike.

They also make a big bore kit for this as well one that makes it a true 250cc as well as one that make it a 300cc.

I just bought one. I haven't ridden in years, so this will be a good bike to get my seat back with. Then off to a fucking bad ass mid life crisis.

My TBR7 is my daily driver. I mean 20 degrees and everything. Love these cheap bikes man. Amazon parts and elbow grease gets you going

The DLX is much improved for a few hundred bucks more. You get the upgraded front suspension inverted forks. And fuel injection.

They make cams, 300 cc punch out kits, carbs, and exhaust . People cut the foam seat down and change the forks .

Shift levers on trail bikes are supposed to bend easily. If it were real strong and didn't bend easily, then all the forces of a crash on that side would transfer straight to the shift shaft, instead of the shift lever, and then bend the shift shaft. Once that happens you have to split the cases to replace it, and that's not fun. This is why no one should be installing those super strong, thick steel shift levers from BBR or whatever brand. A good thick aluminum shift lever is fine, because it will break off before bending the shift shaft. Otherwise, just stay with the stock unit that bends easily, it's designed to be that way for a very good reason.

Bought mine more than a year and a half ago, when the stimulus checks came out. Wow a free motorcycle ! Since then I have had so much fun trying out all the aftermarked stuff out there.

You seem to do a fair and honest review of these machines. Thank you! 👍🏼 I like the trails and land you have there.
Cool looking bike even if it has shortcomings. This may still be fun for the same reason minibikes are fun. Riding almost anything is still fun!

Change sprocket and put a nibbi carb on mine made a big difference. For the seat look up motocheese he shaved his seat.

The reason these bikes are half decent is because they’re made by a Chinese car company that I’ve been making cars for several years so the parts are actually decent because they know a thing or do about engines and building vehicles

They make a big bore kit 300cc for like 100 bucks, cam and push rods, exhaust, carb and sprockets. Brakes/calipers, Tires, wheels, shocks, and handle bars can all be upgraded as well, it is a Chinese unit they basically stole everything off everyone it’s not to hard to find parts you just got to know what they stole off what.
