States of Matter (Phases of Matter): Solids, Liquids, and Gases

preview_player
Показать описание
Here we'll talk about states of matter, also known as "phases of matter." They are solid, liquid, and gas. We won't be talking about exotic phases of matter like plasma. Matter is anything that takes up space and has mass. It's "stuff." We'll examine the unique characteristics of each phase or state of matter, and look at the particles that make them up. We'll look to see whether they have a definite or indefinite shape and volume. We'll also look at whether they are compressible or not. At the particle level, we'll examine the layout of the particles, and how they move.

It literally made me cry when I saw this video, just so much emotions attached to this channel, like how sir you made me fall in love with chemistry in 9th grade and now it filled me with so much ecstasy to see you back. Tbh yesterday I literally had a dream related to chemistry and now this video. Idk why it's so different but it is really wonderful and really I'm having a feeling that cannot be expressed in words sir.

Tyler your videos are awesome. As parents when we sit with our children to clarify their doubts there is nothing better than your videos to understand and help them. Please do not stop creating this sort of videos

Hi Mr. Dewitt, will you be able to make a video on Le Chatelier's principle in the future?

Thanks for the support you've given millions of chemistry students.

So good seeing u, Tyler :) Can u cover more advanced topics including quantum mechanics? I'm going to be in 11th grade, ISC in a few months and it would be awesome if u can teach me that stuff before school begins. Thanks a lot for all of ur vids. They've helped me out a lot. Now dont just leave us alone until next time. At least give us some community updates on what ur doing ;)
