Yugi Shoten in Ikebukuro, Tokyo is a supermarket that has a food court offering Taiwanese, Shanghai, Szechuan, Dim Sum, Northeastern Chinese cuisine and more. The entrance may look sketchy but Yugi Shoten exudes a completely different atmosphere from the neighboring areas as if you travelled to China but this is the place you would want to take a visit for authentic real Chinese cuisine.

Some notes: the wrap of the jianbing (as someone else noted, Chinese crepe) is usually a mixture of flour and soybean I believe (not rice). The bamboo leaf wrapped item is a zhongzi, and the salty and savory ones are usually brown (because of soy sauce) and the meat is supposed to have a stewed texture. Sweet Zhongzi are usually white and mixed with other types of beans and you can dip them in a side of sugar to add sweetness.

Don’t know what the last dish was. But the dessert is called Aiyi and they flavor it with lemon juice and syrup. Sometimes it is used a cool summer drink and sometimes you eat it out of the bowl like you did.

Another good food video Eric, not your typical Chinese food, , haven't had any like that here in Ontario.
