This song is so important to me and pretty much became my anthem while I was escaping a very abusive marriage. I love his writing style and the way Ben makes his lyrics relatable and you can interpret them your own way. For me, I was terrified and had lost all control of my life because of my husband's abuse, control and addictions. Escaping that was the hardest thing I've ever done. I did win the final fight though, although he almost killed me in the process. I am free. I have my life back and three beautiful children who are 1, 000x's happier. He never abused them, only me, but kids pick up on things. Ben will never know how important his music has been to me, but I'll forever be grateful for him.
