As for the beef jerky, it’s a newer style of thinly slicing it and drying it so that it’s like chips. We have a lot of cattle here and people do a lot of hunting for deer and pigs as well so a lot of people dry meats. I come from a family of fishermen so we dry fish. 😁

As for macadamia nuts...they’re the nut with the highest fat content in the world, which is why they’re so delicious.

The won tun chips, that’s just the fried dough that they use to make gau gee or won ton/tun.

The li hing gummy things are DELICIOUS!!! It’s salty and sweet at the same time. 😁

IKA is just the Hawaiian word for “squid”. It’s just salted and dried.

If you haven’t gathered...we LOVE to eat in Hawai’i. Hehe.

First, I don't know how I ever missed Maui Crisps as they're nori (basically the same apparently as used in sushi), and generally better for you than potato chips or the like, but
Second, there is NOTHING better than any snack containing We actually emptied a gallon ZipLock baggie of macadamia "seconds" (broken instead of whole, roasted slightly darker than spec, or other variations which keep them from going into the high priced products) between 2 of us driving from Kailua down the leeward side of the Big Island to Volcanos National Park. And the only sweet better than chocolate-covered macadamias is macadamia brittle (peanut brittle with macadamias instead of peanuts).

I feel sorry for Joey having to miss so many of the Islands' treats, restrictions Austin apparently suffer
