I actually had someone mock me for throwing my own shower claiming that i had no one who cared about me thats why I had to throw my own (over 75 people came to my shower, I think people cared lol) I didnt want my elderly fixed income just got diagnosed with alzheimers mom burdened with the planning or cost and my best friend had just lost her job, they CO HOSTED it and played their rolls but I planned it and paid for it and there is NOTHING wrong with it...people need to worry bout themselves

It's a very Aussie thing you're doing throwing your own combined baby shower. Except we have the BBQ fired up. Everyone brings a plate of meat or seafood to cook on BBQ. And everyone shares.
I'd feel weird expecting someone else to throw me a baby shower.

It’s a very normal thing in New Zealand to throw your own baby shower. Done it with both my boys. Yours came out incredibly beautiful, miserable people will always find something to complain about, just ignore them 🤍💫
