This was my first time watching this classic, and boy am I happy I did! No wonder it received Golden Globe nominations for Best Comedy, and Lucille Ball and Bob Hope received nominations for Best Actress and Actor in a Comedy as well!...Bob & Lucy starred in four movies together: "Sorrowful Jones' (1949), "Fancy Pants" (1950), "The Facts of Life" (1960), and "Critic's Choice" (1963).❤️❤️

I watched this when I sick with a flu in 8th grade and my dad was lookin after me and I watched this on AMC and I enjoyed it so much I even tried to order this on DVD but couldn’t find it because they got the title of the film confused with the television series. Right after they shot the kiss on the fishing boat, Lucy suffered an accident that required a trip to the hospital in an ambulance. The director wanted to get another reaction shot after their kiss so she and Bob had to disembark and allow the crew to rearrange the cameras. When it was time to climb aboard again, she refused help, tripped and fell on her head. (The boat was floating in a water tank that had been built on one of the studio sets).

I read the above in Lucy’s autobiography.

This is my favorite movie as of right now. I really loved it, I was just hoping so bad that Kitty and Larry would end up together and everything would be okay! Lucy and Bob are so convincing as actors and comedians.

I remember when it was normal to want to save your marriage now days they encourage you to not even get married. There is no sanctity today how sad. I haven't watched tv in over 30 years cant stomach it today. I have even learned that rock n roll was not created for our good and that's a huge statement coming from one who played it in bars for most of my life.
