Ethics Education Tackles Bullying and Violence in Schools

Did you know that 1 out of every 5 children(1) is bullied due to their physical appearance, ethnicity, nationality and skin color?(2) This type of violence is hindering their well-being and academic success.

Ethics education equips learners with 21st-century competencies, helping them develop mutual understanding, empathy and critical thinking. It nurtures in children the capacity to work together with others across religious, ethnic and cultural identities.

Ministries of Education can prioritize and invest in ethics education teacher training programs to equip educators with the skills to make classrooms more inclusive, enhancing students’ well-being and fostering their capacity to learn to live together with others.
