New research has unveiled another one of Stonehenge's mysteries.

Scientists now believe that the largest Altar Stone at the heart of the prehistoric structure may have come from north-east Scotland and not from Wales as previously thought.

Research now shows that the six-tonne stone almost certainly came from the Orcadian Basin that lies north of Inverness.

Another hypothesis I would suggest is. I'm not trying to take away from human engineering. Giving that stone hinge is at this time estimated to be 5, 000 years old. The last ice age ended approximately 11, 500 years ago. The glaciers easily could have pushed or carried the alter stone considerably closer to the site. Either way, the stone being there is remarkable.

"they only had primitive tools, " and yet they have no idea where the stones even came from. These people don’t know what theyre talking about! Ropes that will disappear, pulley systems, and wheels are not primitive.

The Chinese got the massive stones for the Forbidden City across huge distances by putting well rounded logs under the stone and pushed it that way. Many many people died during the process.

Part of solving the mystery is acknowledging that moving ridiculously large megaliths wasn't a big problem for people all around the world back then.
When is archeology finally gonna admit there was a global advanced civilization way before we started.
We think we are so smart... the smartest ever to live on this planet.
We are not first... we won't be the last.

These days any ‘mystery’ seems to have only three possible answers, dark matter, aliens, or global warming. We might have to put this one down to aliens.

Well uh, Leonadro DaVinci invented a time machine, and with the help of the crab people, moved the rock to the site of stonehenge. This enabled first contact via a psychic beam to advanced alien life in the andromeda galaxy.
