Next time, try slush casting the pink. That way you won’t get a straight line, and some green will be behind the pink as well. It will look more natural, not a straight cut off between one color and the next.

Fun fact for you Peter, since it looks like you've got some crystal on your hands. If you strike two pieces of quartz together you'll get a flash of light. It's called Triboluminescence. Check it out if you get bored.

Thank you so so so so so so much for showing All of the crystals you made. Sometimes i watch other artist youtubers and they make it look ike their project came out perfectly the first time. But that's not realistic. You have to make a lot of mistakes and learn from them to make art. It doesn't always work out the first time or even the second or third time, but that doesn't mean I should give up my project. Thank you. 😊

Bobby Duke and Nick Zammeti also show their whole process, even the failures too. All of you are so awesome and amazingly talented.

Going to a dollar store and getting a cheap dentistry toolkit and some floss and metal wire (floss for light slide cuts, wire for heavy cuts and structural support) is more than enough for clay working in any situation other than going pro, honestly.

Selanite, Or satin spar (what you have there) is gypsum based. So it attracts moisture.

It's like what you would imagine jolly ranchers look like if they grew in the wild, this came out pretty awesome great work as always brother!

I feel like this would do so well with mica/colors painted into the mold itself then pour the resin. Use just the right stuff and you'd probably still get some transparency, but also have more control over the colors not feeling so delineated. Especially if looking to more capture the essence of the original idea of watermelon tourmaline, a mica powder shine would be so pretty.

You cannot tell me those are not giant Jolly Ranchers. I wanna lick them. What? That's normal, right? Gotta test the resin.

That award turned out so pretty! Watermelon tourmaline is one of my favorite gemstones. I'm definitely going to have to try making something similar. I've got loads of quartz crystals that aren't that pretty on their own, but might work for pretending to be other crystals.

The one that turned out kindof teal and bubbly looks like fluorite!

Oooh pretty. I love crystals, gems and minerals. I was the kid who collected those things whenever there was a gift shop when we traveled...

"People that are better at visualising things." As someone with no "minds eye" or no ability to visualise, you can say that again! Great job Peter, it looks great.
