I've been an anaesthesia resident since over a year now and so far I never did fascial iliaca comp blocks since we usually do femoral nerve blocks instead at my instution. So it was hard for me to grasp the difference and how to do it. This is the very first time I finally understood this block, thank you for this video!

Question about probe position - after sliding few cm down from ASIS, should it be kept sagittal or angled so pointing more towards umbilicus (more perpendicular to pelvic brim)?

Found I don't always get great views keeping it purely sagittal.. any suggestions?

I don't think a paediatric volume study has been done re sifi coverage any tips/"what you do". Have been guessing max "safe" dose diluted to 0.75ml/kg volume ibw?
